Appointment Policies
** Please read the following information before arriving for your scheduled appointment**
If this is your first appointment: a Massage Therapy Intake Form will be emailed to you within 24 hours of your booking. This form is to be filled out prior to your appointment to reduce time spent in the waiting area. If you do not want to fill it out digitally please print it off and bring the filled out copy to your appointment so it can be added to your client file.
If you would like to direct bill an insurance company please bring your insurance card with you to fill out the Direct Billing Consent form at your first appointment.
Payment methods currently accepted are: Direct Billing, E-Transfer, Interac, Visa, Mastercard or Cash.
Direct Billing currently accepted for Alberta Blue Cross, ASEBP, Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life, Chamber of Commerce, ClaimSecure, Industrial Alliance, Group Source, Johnston Group Inc, Maximum Benefit, Johnson Inc, GreenShield and more. If you have questions about a particular insurance plan not listed here please contact us and we would be happy to guide you.
Please arrive no more than 5 mins ahead of your scheduled appointment. This is to ensure only one client will be in the clinic at one time and the practitioner has enough time to fully clean and disinfect all surfaces prior to your appointment .
No Show Fee: If you do not show up for your appointment without contacting Karmic Balance Massage ahead of time a fee of 100% of the service missed will be charged before or at your next appointment. **Please note: no show fees cannot be billed back to extended health benefits as no service will have been provided.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 4 Hours before your scheduled appointment time are subject to a fee of 50% of the cancelled service that will be charged before or at your next appointment. While we are sympathetic that conflicts, illness, and emergencies do come up from time to time; with less that 4 hours notice of cancellation our RMT does not have enough time to fill the spot that was originally reserved for you. **Please Note: Late cancellation fees cannot be billed back to extended health benefits as there was no service rendered.
Covid-19 Specific Policies:
Masks are now optional for clients. Your practitioner will still be wearing one during the hands-on portion of your appointment.
Treatment room and waiting area are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each client using disinfectant approved by Health Canada to help curb the spread of Covid-19. There is a minimum of 30 minutes between each client to ensure ample time to get the space ready prior to your arrival.
